COVE HOUSE

Signs of aging mark the materials of the house reflecting the fleeting nature of time itself. The house’s southwestern orientation embraces the sunset which sinks behind the lake and mountains beyond. The transparent corridor between the two sections of the house provides an interstitial space between the two zones, allowing the client an opportunity to be captivated by the scenes unfolding outside. In the centre of the structure lies a courtyard, sheltered from the wind which at times passes sharply through the valley: a place for quiet meditation.
